10 IPL Records Which Are Literally IMPOSSIBLE to Break

Indian Premier League (IPL) is best source of entertainment as its one of the best leagues in the cricket history. Many records were made and broken in history of IPL. Today we are talking about the best 10 records which are literally impossible or very tough to break.

10) Sohail Tanvir Spell of 6 wickets / 14 Runs

Pakistani left arm fast bowler, Sohail Tanvir owns the best bowler of IPL history records. In the match against Chennai Super Kings in the first season of IPL. He took 6 wickets by giving 14 runs only in his 4 overs spell. He took wickets of Parthiv Patel, Stephen Fleming, S Vidyut, Albie Morkel, Makhaya Ntini and Muthiah Muralitharan.

9) AB de Villiers and Virat Kholi's Partnership of 229 Runs.

The time when destruction was on another level as Brothers from different Mothers, Virat and AB put the Gujarat Lions bowlers to real examination. Both set their guns blazing and set a best partnership record in IPL history of 229 runs. They broke their own record of highest partnership which they made earlier against Mumbai Indians. Yes, as said earlier, Records are meat to be broken!

8) Piyush Chawla’s unmatched streak:

Piyush Shawla proved himself no matter for which franchise he was playing in IPL. He has always been reliable source for his side. He hold a special record which is impossible to break. He bowled his first no ball after bowling 2327 balls. The first no ball he bowled against Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2016.
Surprising, Isn't it ?

7) Amit Mishra 3 Hat-Tricks for 3 different Teams

Total 15 bowlers had made hat-tricks in IPL history by the time of writing this article. First Hat-Trick of IPL 2017 was by Samuel Badree. Watch the video here.

Amit Mishra is the one player who took 3 hat-tricks and all of them were from different teams. He is best leg spinner of IPL history. And doesn't matter for which franchise he played, he proved to be the toughest spinner for opposition.

His first hat-trick was against Deccan Charges, he was playing for Delhi Daredevils in first season.
Second hat-trick he took against KXIP and he was playing for Deccan Chargers this time, In 2011
3rd time he made a hat-trick he was playing against RPS for SRH.

6) Mumbai chasing 190 runs in 14.4 overs:

In T20 cricket, 190 is very good total and opposite team is considered to struggle to reach the target. 

In IPL 2015, Rajasthan Royals set the target of 190 and Mumbai Indians need to chase in 14.3 overs to qualify in playoffs. Corey Anderson played a astonishing knock of 95 runs and Mumbai Indians were 181 at 14 overs.

They need 9 runs of 3 balls, but scores got level at 14.3 overs. Wankhde was in pin drop silence. then one of the stats person suggested that if Mumbai mange to finish this with a boundary on next ball. They can still quality for playoffs. On the next ball (14.4 overs) Aditya Tare came and hit a SIX giving Mumbai a remarkable win.

5) Chennai Super Kings’ playoff streak:

No doubt, if you are cricket fan you need to admit that Chennai Super Kings is always best franchise in IPL history. They qualified for playoffs each time they played IPL. They played playoffs 8 times, out of 8 they managed to play final of IPL 6 times. They hold IPL trophy twice.

4) Royal Challengers Bangalore score 263 in 20 overs:

When we call about destruction in cricket we can't say it without remembering Chris Gayle, He played a marvelous innings and not only scored fastest hundred of IPL history on 30 balls, but also set total of 263 in 20 overs with run rate of 13.15. 

3) Suresh Raina plays 143 matches on a stretch

Suresh Raina is one of IPL player who is very consistent in performance than anyone else. He holds the amazing record of playing 143 matches in row. He appeared in every game of Chennai Super Kings. He finally had to miss one match when he had to travel to see his wife who was pregnant in Netherlands. 

2) Chris Gayle 175 not out

When Chris Gayle is in form, his demolition is on another level. He didn't fear hitting any bowler no matter what pace or what records he own. When he cross 50 or 60 runs in no matter of time it is obvious that something extraordinary is going to happen.

He scored 175 score against Pune Warriors at Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is not even the highest IPL total by a player but also in Twenty20 history.

1) Virat Kohli scoress 4 hundred in one season

Virat kholi, the Indian skipper who was in his best form of life last year, He played some marvelous innings and his consistency was just perfect that he didn't disappoint his team at any time. He scored 4 hundred in 1 season of IPL which is most by any player. He scored total of 919 runs which is also a record of most runs by a player in one IPL season.
